I am an LPC and a Registered Art Therapist (ATR). I am Hispanic and bilingual in English and Spanish.

As a therapist, I believe in meeting my clients where they are to establish a strong therapeutic relationship, from which we can begin to work and grow. Therapy is a safe space for us to work through the challenges of everyday life, as well as deeply rooted issues. Using respect, empathy, humor, and creativity, change can really begin in your life. As an art therapist, I strongly believe in using art wherever possible, as art is our universal language where we can achieve mutual understanding and self-discovery. Using art as a tool in therapy can sometimes be easier than talking.

You don’t have to be an artist to do art therapy; art therapy is about the process we use to create, not the finished product of the art. We live our lives as the artist in our own worlds, we paint what we see, and, only through hard work and consistency do we begin to paint what our hearts desire.
